We are the only family owned and operated ski resort located in the beautiful Snowy Mountains of New South Wales. Selwyn is here to show you what the snow is all about and how to have a good time with your family and your friends! We consider ourselves the best for first timers by providing progressive terrain, working your way across the mountain from beginner slopes to intermediate and advanced trails.

Of course, progressive terrain won’t allow you to go from zero to hero. Everyone needs to be shown at least the basics to be out skiing the slopes and having a good time asap, Which is why we have a Snow Sports School. Lessons can range from first time to advanced in group lessons or a specialised private lessons. From learning how to snowplow, turn and stop to riding the lifts with priority status, a professional instructor will show you how to do it all!

Selwyn Kids is like a Snow Sports School for kids, though way more fun! It’s for children from 3 years old to 14 years and programs are based on age and skill level.

Obviously, you can’t do any skiing and snowboarding without the right equipment. The Ski Hire Centre is located next to the car park and stocks everything you need like skis, boots, poles, helmets and even ski jackets and pants! Our ski hire team know how to fit you perfectly and get you all ready for your morning lesson.

On the other side of the Ski Hire Centre is the Selwyn Centre, facilities include the Snow Gums Cafe, Igloo shop, Information Desk, and The Swinging T-bar. Other activities include tobogganing on Selwyn’s dedicated toboggan slope, snow tubing at the Snowflake Tube Park, building a snow man or even learning how to get your jib on in the mini terrain park!

We provide the best conditions possible with our very productive snowmaking system, which covers 80% of the skiable terrain. When temperatures and/or humidity drops to ideal conditions we are able to start up the snow guns across the resort. It is usually a night time operation and consists of a small team putting in the hard hours so that guests can ski or board on the best possible snow.

So that’s us. We hope you get a good idea of what we are all about here at Selwyn and we look forward to having a ski with you this winter!
