This team assists customers with ticket sales, resort information, answering phone calls and using the latest Resort IT software RTP. We are looking for people with a bright, bubbly personality who present well with excellent customer service skills, and have computer and cash handling experience.
This store only opens for the winter season so an energetic person is needed to get it up and running and develop good product knowledge very quickly (clothing, gloves, goggles, souvenirs, toiletries etc) and manage restocking displays. Excellent customer service skills, good store presentation skills and ability to use computerised till.
In this team staff are expected to have good customer service skills, the ability to prepare food items and restock displays, possess RSA for alcohol sales, use an espresso machine, be pro-active in cleaning service/dining areas, have cash handling experience and possess at least basic knowledge of safe food handling practices. Training can be provided in any of these areas, however the ability to work as part of a team is the most important pre-requisite.
Cleaners provide for the comfort of guests in resorts, by ensuring that public areas are clean and properly presented. A cleaner promotes a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests. Cleaners are responsible for the overall cleaning of 3 indoor areas, outside areas and 2 sets of public toilets. Emptying bins and some lifting is required.
Be part of a large team that talks to all the guests while assisting them on and off ski lifts, operating rope tows, Poma lifts, t-bars, magic carpet lifts and assists with operation of chairlifts; checks lift tickets, controls lift queues, monitors safety of guests and performs all general outdoor duties. These positions learn about mountain operations and are an excellent starting point for people wishing to get into the industry. Full training and outdoor uniform provided.
Be part of a small vital team responsible for snow quality and distribution, using snowmaking guns & cooling systems. You will have excellent common sense with a strong safety focus. Possess a current Drivers licence. Be prepared to live on the mountain and work nights. General mechanical knowledge desirable. Full training and out door uniform provided. Selwyn Snowfields has a fully integrated snow making system, one of the most technically advanced systems in Australia. This training and experience will assist in job-seeking at overseas resorts.
Driving 22 seat bus in alpine environment. Public vehicle drivers licence, Medium rigid drivers licence and Snowfields Drivers Licence are essential, training can be arranged for your Snowfields Drivers Licence. Versatility to potentially work in other areas of the resort during the day is desirable.
Representing the professional face of Selwyn Snowfields your excellent interpersonal skills ensure novice skiers and borders enjoy their first experience and are encouraged back. As an experienced instructor you get a buzz introducing people to snow sports, and improving / contributing to the professionalism of your team.
Working a dynamic friendly professional childcare team you provide children and parents with a safe, clean and welcoming environment. You will be responsible for children aged 18 months to 7 years. Working both indoors caring for children and outdoors instructing children’s ski lessons and supervising snow play.
Working in a small experienced team you will have an understanding of mountain operations, such as monitoring conditions and closing / opening runs etc; strong leadership skills, ability to take control of situations & co-ordinate all aspects of emergencies, including patient care and handover to Ambulance Officers; Advanced First Aid qualifications and advanced skiing ability.
Working in a large friendly team that ensures guests are equipped with safe and appropriate gear, your interpersonal skills will be highly valued. Full training is provided. Staff are expected to have strong common sense, an outgoing friendly attitude and ability to be clearly understood by foreign visitors, an eye for detail and work well in a team. Duties include fitting boots, skis & clothing, managing your workload in hectic or slow periods.
As part of the Ski & Clothing Hire team you will be maintaining all rental skis / snowboards / bindings, and assisting team as required. Previous employment experience is preferred.
